Starbucks' 3 Mint-Flavored Teas - Best Review

Starbucks’ 3 Mint-Flavored Teas – Best Review

There are a lot of drinks and customizations available at Starbucks. The Seattle-based coffee giant has something for just about everyone on its menu. The size of the menu can be daunting for newcomers, especially since so many drinks sound the same. Starbucks offers three distinct types of mint tea: Mint Majesty Tea, Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea, and Honey Citrus Mint Tea. As a result, we understand it might not be easy to distinguish between these drinks just based on their names.

Each of these teas offers a unique twist on a herbal favorite. This is whether it’s floral notes, citrus essence, or a well-crafted blend of mint leaf varieties, despite their similar names. Furthermore, each tea contains different amounts of caffeine and sugar. This makes it crucial for people with food sensitivities to know the differences between them. To ensure you understand all three mint teas Starbucks offers, we’ll break them down and explain each one. You can now be confident in your next order, knowing exactly what’s in your cup.

1- Starbucks Mint Majesty Tea

The Mint Majesty is the perfect mint tea for plain Jane, no-frills flavors. A subtle, natural sweetness and a distinct, minty flavor are paired together to create Starbucks’ Mint Majesty Tea. This will relax you with every sip. Peppermint and spearmint leaves are layered together to create a comforting balance between spearmint’s light and gentle flavor and peppermint’s mildly spicy menthol aroma. Also, lemon verbena is added to the tea for a vibrant, yet luxuriously-smooth taste.

There is no caffeine in Mint Majesty, unlike most of Starbucks’ tea choices. We previously rated it one of the best caffeine-free Starbucks drinks. In addition, it is the only mint tea on the coffee chain’s menu that has no calories or sugar added. Though mint as a flavor can be divisive, don’t worry, this tea is mellow enough to deliver mint flavor without being unpleasantly sharp or toothpaste-like, making it a perfect tea to enjoy every day of the week.

2- Starbucks Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea

Starbucks Chamomile Mint Blossom tea

The classic flowery tea of chamomile is elevated at Starbucks with a sophisticated blend of herbs, spices, and fruits. Just like the Mint Majesty tea, the Chamomile Mint Blossom tea also contains spearmint and lemon verbena, but also has a symphony of aromas, including rose hips, apples, licorice, lemongrass, and, of course, chamomile flowers.

This tea, however, has a soothing green tea base, which imparts a gentle, earthy touch that grounds the various light flavors of the tea. Although chamomile tea is incredibly relaxing after steeping for a while, the floral notes come through the strongest. Although it contains some caffeine, it isn’t much in the long run. Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea contains some caffeine, but not much.

This large-sized, 16-ounce Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea contains 25 milligrams of caffeine. However, this pales in comparison to the chain’s Pike Place medium roast coffee, which contains up to 315 milligrams of caffeine per 16-ounce grande serving. In addition to being low in calories and carbs, Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea has added 30.00g sugars and only 130 calories. We previously ranked it as one of Starbucks’ 14 most delicious sugar-free drinks.

3- Starbucks Honey Citrus Mint Tea

The unofficial Secret Menu of Starbucks has arguably become as famous as its official menu over the years. Increasingly, fans of the chain have been posting their creations online, which have gone viral on social media. Like Starbucks’ iconic Pink Drink, the Honey Citrus Mint Tea made its rare jump to the official menu, becoming a staple beverage for the chain.

Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea bags are steeped in hot water and steamed lemonade, with honey added to the mixture. With this combination, you get a drink that’s quite similar to plain Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea, but with a citrus-forward, lemony taste and an acidic, yet slightly sweet aftertaste thanks to the honey. This drink also contains similar amounts of caffeine as Chamomile Mint Blossom Tea.

As a result of its supposed medicinal properties, the drink was unofficially called the “Medicine Ball” before 2017. Starbucks customers flooded the store when the drink became viral, especially when the COVID-19 Pandemic happened, bringing their many illnesses with them. As a result, some Starbucks baristas wish sick people would not order the “Medicine Ball.” However, you can make your own Medicine Ball drink at home if you’re too sick to visit Starbucks.
